During the month of January, while Australia was alight with bushfires, the MFW family came together to raise money for Victorians in need who had been affected by the bushfires.
Watching the news flooded with images of how people in our country were affected, it touched us deeply. We couldn’t begin to image what they were going through, so began the initiative of raising money to donate with the goal of $10,000 in mind. MFW donated $2 for every customer that dined in during the month of January, our staff donated their tips and our customers donated their change, then we topped up the pile by donating an extra $2,000. Together we smashed our goal and raised a whopping $16,125!
After much consideration and research, we have donated all proceeds to GIVIT – a national not-for-profit organisation whereby 100% of proceeds go to those in need. Proceeds are used by Victorians to purchase essential items for themselves and their homes. If you would like to donate, please click on the logo below.
